Members of the Detroit American Pool Checkers Club play Thursday afternoon at the club on Wyoming in Detroit.
Langley, a former General Motors inspector, is spoken at the club in reverent terms. Last year at the national tournament in Columbus, Ohio, Langley finished eight. "I'm angry because I should have been around fourth," he said. "I didn't study like I should have."
